Making a Difference with Collective Impact How to Improve Health Outcomes for Children and Families in Overtown: Part 2

February 11, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Many professionals working with children and their families in the Overtown community wonder if their work really makes a difference, especially when many of the children they serve have multiple health, emotional, and developmental needs. Sometimes it seems like so much has to change that is beyond the individual professional’s control.

This two-part interactive workshop series is designed to help busy professionals learn how to use collective impact to make a difference for the children they serve. Participants will hear from community partners and experts who will share their work to change systems of care that affect child outcomes in the Overtown community. Participants will be asked to begin developing their own action plans for broad practice change that will help their everyday practice. Experts will provide feedback to participants to ensure that they gain the knowledge and skills to have a greater collective impact on the health of children and their families in Overtown. A key focus of this workshop series will be the opportunity to network with professionals and community programs serving children and youth in Overtown.
