Give Miami Day 2020 – We Need Your Help!

We are extremely excited to be participating in Give Miami Day 2020 again this year. We’d like to give our thanks to the parent’s of the Overtown Youth, Coalition Members and local businesses that showed their support in the previous years and ask that you stand with #OCYC again this year. Our goal is to exceed what we accomplished in prior years and we can’t do this without your help.
What is Give Miami Day?
Give Miami Day is an online campaign where all locals are philanthropists. On Thursday, November 19, 2020, everyone around the world are invited to explore the online profiles of hundreds of Miami-Dade nonprofits that, with limited resources and staff, always find a way to provide the supplies, services, and support our residents need. Participants are encouraged to find a cause or an organization they believe in and make a charitable donation. We invite you to support OCYC during this 24-hour 1 Day event.
We want to exceed what was accomplished in prior years. Your donation will help us continue to offer programs and support to our children youth and young adults who are often over-looked. Please stand with us this year and show your support of OvertownCYC and help us to help our children – it’s more vital now than ever. They’re counting on us all.
The Plan.
On Nov. 19, 2020, we will reach out to you via email or text message to invite you to our Give Miami Day donation portal. This one-day event will take place over a 24-hour period and we need your support and donations to continue our services and strengthen our programs as well as bring even more (much needed) services to the community. By submitting your email and phone number (recommended) we will notify you, via text message or email, during peak times of the day when we have an opportunity to maximize the incoming donations by receiving matched dollars for the event.
