Voices From the Historic Hampton House Documentary Screening

June 19 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

A documentary that revisits the Miami landmark where history quietly took shape. During the era of segregation, the Hampton House served as a refuge and gathering place for some of the most influential Black figures of the 20th century — Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, and Mary Jackson among them. Through archival footage of civil rights marches, intimate moments, and joyful community life, alongside reflections from those who carry its legacy forward, the film honors a space where culture, activism, and Black excellence converged — and reminds us why those voices still matter today.
